Stargate Defiance
This is fan-art inspired by a sequence in IDW's Transformers: Defiance mini-series. In issue 2 on page 4 there is a Decepticon sigil on the inside of an ancient Egyptian pyramid. Being the big Stargate fan that I am, I can not see anything Egyptian without thinking of Stargate and this image popped into my mind. "Stargate Defiance" features SG-1 stepping through a Stargate, blissfully unaware of an unfriendly "greeting party." I guess the MALP didn't see them behind the gate. The two Transformers are, of course, '07 movie Megatron and "Protoform" (ie Cybertron mode) Starscream. Starscream is based on his appearence in IDW's comics rather than the toy design. From what I understand, IDW based "Cybertron Starscream" on early head designs, before the toy's ultimate design had been approved. "Stargate Defiance" was inspired by a comic by Dan Khanna and Andrew Griffith based on a script by Chris Mowry. See the main inspiration page on Andrew's dA account. Inked line-art, colored with Adobe Photoshop. |

Nice attention to detail there though, having Jack with his hand on the butt of his rifle. I probably wouldn't have though to include that if I had drawn something like this.

Thanks for noticing the details! I had noticed that Jack would rest his hands on his gun when waiting for Carter or Jackson to finish figuring out or explaining something.
